A friend of mine pointed out something very interesting to me awhile ago. My ego said, "No way! I didn't notice it so it can't be. I didn't read anything about it, so she must be wrong." I'm eating crow. Here it is; Did you know that the Basic Grey patterns are 1/2 scale in their 6"x6" pads? Neither did I until my very gracious friend laid one of my 12x12 sheets out next to the matching 6x6. I'm in love!!!!!!!!!! I have only had the 12x12 packs and love them, but I'm more of a card maker than a scrapbooker so there were many of the extra large print pages that I struggled with. Now I don't have to struggle anymore. I now think even more highly of Basic Grey than I did before. I didn't think my opinion could get any more infatuated with their stuff, but it did. And have you seen the new patterns with coordinating ribbons and buttons? Be still my beating heart! But my order won't be filled until after everyone who places orders at CHA. DANG!

I started this card for the Card sketch challenge #133 on SCS yesterday morning. It's not a difficult card. Except that I did some of it backwards which drives me nuts about myself! I need to plan out better - some days, even though I know I need to plan more, I don't and I could just kick myself for it. The very last thing I did was the paper piercing and faux stitching... *Um, yeah - would someone smack her!* SO the stitching isn't straight, it looks like an after thought, and I almost broke my leg trying to kick myself in the proverbial bottom! I finally calmed down enough today to finish it. (Note to self; exaggerating on how upset I was. Don't exaggerate to the folks!) The little flowers alone were enough to make me not give up on this candy coloured sweetie.

I got Little and Big Flowers with my first new catty SU! order, and I love that they match this Romani paper by Basic Grey. I used pink satin ribbon I found at Michael's on those cutie-patootie wooden spools. I am one of the very lucky ones who got a circle scallop punch that works. For those of you waiting for yours, you are going to LOVE it and you'll use it so much that if you amortize the cost by use, it'll be FREE! I added some glitz with stickles and sakura gelly roll pens on the flowers. I love the whimsical feel of this card and I think the time was worth it.

I noticed a while ago about the 6x6 paper. I like both sizes though. Basic Grey is awesome. Infuse is so versatile and can you believe that they have even more lines being released this week?

Darling card! Like you, I just discovered that about the BG paper, too, and I will never go back to 12x12 again!
