ODBD August Release

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August Release blog hop! At the end of my post you will find the rules for the ODBD release contest and the Blog Hop links for the rest of the design team.

I have created this frame and background using the new release Boho Background die set. Wonderful stuff, yes? I created the smaller center frame using other basic rectangle dies. Once I adhered this smaller rectangle frame on the Boho Background, I trimmed away the Boho Background from the inside by hand. Super simple.

This sentiment is from Boho Faith, one of the new release stamps sets. It is quite wonderful, don't you agree?

stamps; boho faith (odbd)
paper; beautiful boho collection (odbd), white cardstock (bazzill)
ink; tuxedo black (tsukineko)
accessories; boho background die (odbd), small & large classic rectangle dies (spellbinders)

For my second card, I jumped quite firmly out of my comfort zone and used a lot of very bright colour from the Beautiful Boho Collection paper on my project. We're talking Olympic length long jump...

Isn't the effect joyful using such vibrant colour? I used a little vellum to provide a contrasting panel for this lovely sentiment from Boho Faith.

For this butterfly, I used a die from Trois Papillion and carefully positioned it on the Beautiful Boho Collection paper to create a quick and easy no colour or stamp butterfly. Isn't the effect simply terrific?! I covered the butterfly in an iridescent embossing powder to recreate the look of the shiny scales on butterfly wings.

Do continue with the design team blog hop using the links listed below, and have a blessed weekend!

stamps; boho faith (odbd)
paper; beautiful boho collection (odbd), white, pink cardstock (bazzill), vellum (paper accents)
ink; tuxedo black, versamark (tsukineko)
accessories; trois papillion dies (odbd), bridal embossing powder (ranger)

The lattice card is my favorite as it looks like a lot of work. Yet you say it's simple. ok, I'll try your techniques. The second card may be out of your comfort zone but it is striking. Diane Lynne C.
