Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs May release blog hop. I'm pleased to share that I was invited to re-join the Our Daily Bread Designs Alumni Design Team. Today is my first post with the team, and it is all about the beautiful May Release. For May the collection features uplifting sentiments and lovely birds, bees and butterflies.
I've used a gorgeous sentiment from Spread Your Wings for my first card. I love this sentiment. As Christ followers, we are called to have life to the full, but we are also reminded that we will experience difficulties, and we can rely on His strength to help us find fullness in challenging times, rather than answers.
I have used Layered Lacey Squares Dies to frame this lovely sentiment over a Shabby Rose Collection pattern paper.
My second card uses a different sentiment from the same stamp set, Spread Your Wings. I cut the sentiment using the smallest die from Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies, layered over the other dies from that set. Card front sized cards make beautiful card making very quick and easy!! Love it!
I chose a tiny print from Blushing Rose Collection pattern paper to sit under the card front sized die. I love the little peeks of pink! It is so fresh for spring.
I have used the new Fancy Fritillery die cut butterfly cut out of vellum. I think it needs to be mounted differently, but I'm not sure how and keep the dimension. There is a solid die in the set, and I thing a pale solid pink butterfly under the vellum would be stunning! Thinking out loud for next time...
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until May 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win! The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on May 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
