Welcome to the Heartfelt Creations alumni Blog Hop. If you are here just 'cause, ((hugs)). I would invite you to hop over to Olga's blog to start at the beginning of the hop. If you came here from Selma's blog, you are right on track.
As you hop from blog to blog, leave comments as you go and a name will be chosen from all comments received to win a $25 gift certificate from Heartfelt Creations. All comments left before midnight Friday, February 3rd will be eligible to win. Check back Saturday, February 4th on any of the blog hop blogs to see if you are the winner. Good luck!!
Wow! It's been awhile since the last time I was able to use my Heartfelt Creations Stamps!!
I used the Clematis Cottage image combined with the Holly Berry Filler set to create a wintery chickadee scene. *squeal* It turned out pretty well, I says to myself.
I used Capella paper from basic Grey since I wanted a softer winter look without being overtly winter; that is no snowflakes, no poinsettias, no icicles or any other winter stuff n' such. I used a white gel pen to put snow on the roof top and ledge. The lighting of this image makes me think of the very short days in January, just as the days are getting longer, but shadows are frighteningly long at 2pm. At that time, the world has a soft golden glow that makes it feel alright despite the weak sun and frigid temperatures.
I am quite taken with the little house, since I stamped it in a lighter ink and coloured it dark. Many of my guiding lines disappeared and I did get a little tense as I was colouring, until I reminded myself that I am the artist, and every ubitz is an opportunity for embellishment!
copics used today; W1, T3/5, E04/07/30/31/53/55/57/59/79/87, Y0000/000/23, BV0000/000, G94, colourless blender
Clare's blog is your next stop, and I've provided the hop list below if you feel at all lost. Enjoy!!

Wonderful card, Loretta! I love the weathered bird house and the branch with the beautiful pine cones. Used to see chickadees all the time around my feeders in Texas but since moving to Mexico -- nada! Of course, I've been blessed with other types of birds that I've had to try to identify -- we have orioles and hummers now!
