OCCC Rachel's Moon Girl

I cannot believe my youngest turns 8 today. She is such a little darling with curl ringlets all over her head. She looks like a wayward waif most of the time because she hates having her hair brushed or put into a ponytail. She tries to put her hair up by herself and then she REALLY looks like a waif. Yes, she holds my heart in her hands just like my other children.

Right now her room is pink and purple. Most little girls dream in pink and purple...except for my little waif. She wants her room to be painted Tinkerbell Green and Pooh's Favourite Things Blue. So why didn't I do her card in Tinkerbell Green and Pooh's Favourite Things Blue? Because this card is doing double duty. It's for the Our Creative Corner colour challenge - not quite navy, more mustard and bashful blue as well as for Rachel's birthday.

The colours for this challenge didn't grab me at first simply because I'm not a more mustard fan until I was getting ready for LAST week's sketch challenge. I pulled out this stamp, 'Moon Beam' by Sugar Nellie for the image in the oval. The rubber was on my desk sitting in the oval nestability when I quite suddenly realized that the image would be perfect coloured in this week's challenge colours. So, I set little moon beam aside for today for my little moon beam.

I encourage you to go see what the rest of the design team made using this colour combination and play along with us.

This is adorable! Today is my SO's b-day too, except that he is 35 today! :) I'm pretty certain he doesn't want our room to be pink, purple or Tinkerbell green :)
